Since 1961, ASPIRA of New York has provided high-quality, comprehensive programs and services to NYC youth. Through COMPASS NYC’s middle school model (renamed SONYC), ASPIRA serves as a pathway to success for youth in grades 6-8. Structured like clubs, the model offers young people choice in how they spend their time and provides rigorous instruction in sports and arts.

Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice afterschool participants enjoy:
ASPIRA of New York has empowered Latino and other underserved youth since 1961. ASPIRA provides afterschool programs, leadership development, college preparation, and family support services throughout NYC. Their SONYC model uses a club-based approach that gives students choice while providing rigorous instruction in sports, arts, and academics. ASPIRA serves thousands of middle school students annually across multiple boroughs.

Complete Application Fill out the SONYC afterschool registration form for grades 6-8 students enrolled at the school.
Select Clubs Choose which club(s) to join based on interests in sports, arts, academics, or other activities.
Submit Documents Provide required documentation including proof of enrollment, emergency contacts, and medical information.
Start Participating Begin attending your chosen clubs with rigorous instruction and youth development activities!
