New York Edge has served NYC youth since 1979, providing comprehensive afterschool programs across the five boroughs. New York Edge’s mission is to bridge the opportunity gap by offering high-quality programming that improves academic outcomes, health, confidence, and character. Their standardized, project-based curriculum is research-driven and focuses on educating the whole child. New York Edge serves over 40,000 students annually at more than 100 sites citywide.

  2. Complete Application Fill out the SONYC afterschool registration form for grades 6-8 students enrolled at BEES.

  3. Submit Documents Provide required documentation including proof of enrollment, emergency contacts, and medical information.

  4. Program Orientation Attend an orientation to learn about the project-based curriculum and program expectations.

  5. Begin Participation Start experiencing hands-on learning that develops academic, health, confidence, and character!
