New York Edge at Brooklyn Environmental Exploration School (BEES) helps bridge the opportunity gap among under-served students by providing programs designed to improve academic performance, health and wellness, self-confidence, character, and attitudes for success in life. The program uses a project-based curriculum that enables students to learn in a supportive, outcome-driven setting through guided facilitation, group projects, and hands-on work.

BEES afterschool participants engage in:
New York Edge has served NYC youth since 1979, providing comprehensive afterschool programs across the five boroughs. New York Edge’s mission is to bridge the opportunity gap by offering high-quality programming that improves academic outcomes, health, confidence, and character. Their standardized, project-based curriculum is research-driven and focuses on educating the whole child. New York Edge serves over 40,000 students annually at more than 100 sites citywide.

Complete Application Fill out the SONYC afterschool registration form for grades 6-8 students enrolled at BEES.
