About This Program

Girls Inc. of NYC provides free after-school programming for middle school students at Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young Women. The program offers an engaging, research-based curriculum designed to help students develop new skills, explore their interests, and gain new knowledge. All participants are encouraged to reach their full potential by becoming STRONG, SMART, and BOLD.

Research-based curriculum supporting the whole girl:

• Exploring Futures - Career exploration and college readiness
• Social-Emotional Learning - Mental health and wellness support
• STEM Education - Science, technology, engineering, math
• Leadership Development - Building confidence and advocacy skills
• Girls’ Bill of Rights - Empowerment and self-advocacy
