New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL) is the nation’s largest grassroots youth tennis and education nonprofit, reaching more than 85,000 children annually across all five boroughs. Founded in 1971, NYJTL uses tennis as a hook to develop academic excellence and healthy lifestyles in underserved youth. The organization operates programs in schools, parks, and community centers, providing free and low-cost tennis instruction combined with academic support, college prep, and career readiness services. NYJTL’s mission is to develop the character of young people for lifetime success both on and off the court.
