FREE CASW Cornerstone for ages 5-18 in Washington Heights/Inwood. Strong academic support, recreation, services for at-risk youth, immigrants, and families with fragile support systems.
CASW (Children’s Arts & Science Workshops) strives to reach those youth within the Washington Heights/Inwood and surrounding communities with fragile family support systems, those in need of additional community support services, as well as immigrants who are recently arrived. Dyckman Cornerstone also seeks to reach out to those who are at-risk of dropping out of school, as well as those youth who are disconnected from educational and occupational opportunities. The program provides strong academic support, recreational services, and comprehensive community support.

Dyckman Cornerstone participants engage in:
Children’s Arts & Science Workshops (CASW) has served Upper Manhattan families for decades with culturally-responsive programming addressing the unique needs of immigrant communities and at-risk youth. CASW understands the challenges facing families with fragile support systems and provides comprehensive services going beyond traditional after-school programming to address barriers preventing youth from thriving.

Assess Needs Meet with staff to discuss your child/family’s specific needs and challenges.
Complete Registration Fill out enrollment forms including service needs assessment.
Submit Documents Provide required documentation including proof of age and residency.
Begin Participation Start attending programs and accessing support services!
